Heating up on the Lot!

Summer may be wrapping up, but our lot is still hot! With several beauties sold this past month and some exciting new additions coming, here is our August roundup!

RECENTLY SOLD: 

We let our stunning 1954 Ford Crestline Skyliner go to a happy new owner last month! This beautiful car has a light blue paint job with a white accent on top, paired with a blue and white leatherette interior. This 2-door hardtop body style also has an integrated acrylic glass panel over the front seating area. The glass has a blue-green tint, creating a soft diffused light that filters out 60% of the sun rays! 13,144 of these cars were sold in one year of production! This particular one is completely restored and includes a new and improved engine. Although they initially were overwhelmingly popular, today they are relatively rare and sought after in the car collector market. We were sad to see it go, but happy to have made someone’s collection even better!

Another lovely car we sold last month was a 1923 Nash Model 691 5-Passenger Touring Car. Not only is this Nash a gorgeous deep green, it benefited from a frame-off restoration including a new top and side curtains. Additionally, it was equipped with an OHV 6-cylinder engine and was recently serviced and ready to drive! Adding to its original charm, this Nash is complete with a period accessory spotlight with review mirror attached and mounted to the left windshield frame. The front bumper also is an authentic accessory! Nine decades old, this beauty runs like new and was more than ready to be driven off with its new owner!

NEW ON SITE: 

New on the Vintage Motor Cars site for the month of August is our 1923 Ford Model T Speedster. For a great deal of just $24,900, you can take home this timeless vehicle. Its cream exterior and contrasting black leather interior create a classic look. Complete with brass headlamps, a dropped front axle, Rocky Mountain brakes, a modern coil, distributor and an electric starter have all been added. What more could you ask for? Adding a finishing touch to this Ford is a monocle windshield! You’d be crazy NOT to add it to your collection!

 

You think you’ve seen a true head-turner? Not until you’ve seen our 1962 Ford Thunderbird Sports Roadster new on our site this month! Gorgeous with ragoon red on the outside and beige vinyl adorning the inside, a fiberglass tonneau cover fits over the rear seat of the four-seater convertible to give it the appearance of a two-seater with a very long rear deck. The cover was designed so as to not interfere with the convertible top’s operation – smart thinking! Also, for your convenience, this Ford has a swing away steering wheel – to allow the driver to enter and exit the car with ease; how awesome is that? Rust free with 30,714 miles prove its virtually flawless and ready for a ride with its new owner!

Summer Time Rides!

Here at Vintage Motor Cars we are excited to announce our recently sold cars! We said goodbye to our 1967 Ford Country Squire Station Wagon. This particular trim style was the top trim level available during its production. This particular one, however, is in very user friendly condition. The exterior and interior are both in nice condition but could use some love. Luckily, there was a car owner interested in giving it all the love it needs. It is in fine driving condition and even holds up to nine passengers! All the bells and whistles work on it and is now with its happy new owner!

Another car we sold was our 1949 Mercury Station Wagon. Sitting atop four Firestone Super Champion whitewall tires, this burgundy beast was originally intended to be a Ford. However, before plans were finalized, the car was “promoted” to a Mercury. Ford eventually went on to make a similar version anyway. Although it appears much larger than the Ford version, it’s still the same 118 inch wheelbase. This particular model is also more rare than its competitors and highly sought after by collectors. That’s why this one was a lucky buy for its owner! Fully restored and beautifully finished, it’s going to be a sight to see flying down the road! 

New on our site we have our 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V Bill Blass Edition with only 16,786 of its original miles! On top of the low mileage is the low price of just $22,900! This luxury coupe was sold by Lincoln from 1977 to 1979 and was eventually replaced by a newer model. For the 1978 model, a larger radiator was added, the 400 engine was detuned for better fuel economy and a full imitation convertible “carriage roof” top was added and an LED “Miles to Empty” gauge became a new revolutionary option. This car is completely original, down to its Goodyear Custom radial tires. This Lincoln has been in the same family since it was new! It’s a perfect car in every way and an excellent example of all this car was meant to be, and now it can be yours!

Available now, a 1941 Packard 160 Sedan! Also known as the Nineteenth Series, the line of 1941 Packard’s continued the same styling and modernism that were born during 1940, as well as a myriad of detail updates. They have a hearty power train, independent front suspension and surprisingly smooth ride. Because of all this, these models are still highly desired today as they have sustained drive ability, usability quality and timeless character. April Showers Bring May Cars!

SOLD IN APRIL: 

We are excited to announce the cars Vintage Motor Cars sold last month! It’s a great start to kick off the summer with many more unique vehicles to be sold. Sold in April was our 1941 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible Coupe. This burgundy beauty sports maroon leather interior and a one-of-a-kind grille. Its graceful curves and make this particular vehicle truly magnificent. This Cadillac is stocked with a 150-horsepower V8 engine, creating a surprisingly smooth and comfortable ride. Despite its age, it has never seen rust! Our 1941 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible Coupe is decked out with all the bells and whistles making this vintage luxury vehicle, still running in all its timeless beauty today with its new, lucky owner!

Another gorgeous vehicle we said goodbye to in April was our 1954 Buick Skylark Convertible. The combination of the white exterior with the red leather interior creates a stunning contrast. This car was actually built as a celebration of Buick’s 50^th anniversary and is considered a specialty vehicle and definitely provides bragging rights to the new owner! This vehicle is equipped with a V8 engine producing 220-horsepower. The classic white-wall tires are hugged by 40-spoke Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels, creating a look that can’t be ignored. This 1954 Buick Skylark Convertible is the product from a frame-up restoration – engine included. It even has power windows and a power top and radio! The entire car is in mint condition and left our customers surely driving away with a smile!

NEW CARS FOR MAY:

We are eager to introduce our new cars for the month of May! We have an excellent collection available for anyone interested in purchasing their very own vintage vehicle! In fact, this month we will have available a 1912 Ford Model T. These cars are arguably the most interesting Model T style cars; there were 5 different styles. The 1912 Ford Model T marked a transition from the old to the new Model T, because starting with this year’s model, the whole body was no longer an open style, but instead sported three doors – two in the back on both sides and one on the passenger side, and the driver side still remained open. This is truly a special Model T to own!

Also, be sure you don’t miss out on our 1931 Packard Model 833 Sport Phaeton this May! This Packard has been restored and no longer has the frame, as most originals do. It has been converted into a soft top convertible, making this car even more unique than others of its kind. Its beige exterior paired with red striping down the sides and red tires really make this vehicle a show stopper. The gleaming chrome emblem on the hood is the icing on the cake of this one-of-a-kind restored 1931 Packard Model 833 Sport Phaeton.

In 1962 Ford produced only 1,427 Thunderbird Sports Roadsters, and this May you could be the owner of one of the few! Included are Kelsey-Hayes tires and a fiberglass cover over the back, creating a seamless two-seater design. A special feature that is unique to Thunderbirds is the slide-away steering wheel, which allows the driver to move the wheel 18 inches to the side to create easier in and out access to the vehicle. Its V8 engine produces 300 horsepower to the vehicle. Take one look at this vehicle and you’ll see yourself driving away in it in no time!

We will have available this month also a 1975 Pontiac Grand Prix. This car has 13,902 of the original miles! This stunner has a ginger brown exterior paint job with golden pin striping, topped with a sandstone vinyl roof. The grille on this Pontiac and the vertical bars on the tail lights make the stamp on the 1975 Grand Prix. Carefully maintained and kept in a heated garage, this little piece of history has never seen a winter and absolutely everything on it is original besides the battery and tires! Anyone would be lucky to be the proud second owner of this perfectly preserved 1975 Pontiac Grand Prix for just $17,900.

If you’re in the market for a sleek, classy vehicle this summer, we are offering the perfect car for you this May! We have a 1937 Cadillac Convertible. The contrast of the bright blue exterior paint job against the white wall tires and white convertible top catch any eye! Chrome fenders and silver striping down the sides are the finishing touches on, creating the luxurious look and feel we’ve come to expect from the Cadillac. Not only does the outside have a gorgeous appearance, but it’s also decked out with black leather interior to make its proud owner feel like a million bucks cruising around in this 1937 Cadillac Convertible.

COMING IN JUNE: 

Fresh on the site, we have a 1920 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost for sale! It has classic combination of a red exterior with black interior as well as white painted wheels. Producing a total of 7,874 cars for just 19 years, this Rolls-Royce is one of many still on the road today and still widely operating; proving just how well-designed this vehicle is. It’s given the name “Silver Ghost” not due to its color, but due to its quietness. This particular Rolls was also the beginning of the company claiming to create the “best car in the world,” and clearly they weren’t far off, considering Rolls-Royce is still one of the most envied and well known luxury car brands. An astounding 1,500 of these particular vehicles still exist today, and you could be the owner of one of them!

Starting Our Engines in 2016!

Happy New Year from Vintage Motor Cars! 2015 was a great year, and we’re hoping 2016 will be even better. We sold several cars at the end of 2015 and the beginning of 2016.

We sold our beautiful 1939 LaSalle Series 50 Opera Coupe. This LaSalle was a rare and desirable model that had been excellently maintained. The 1939 LaSalle has been a favorite of car collectors, as Cadillac built it with rigorous standards of quality and performance.

We also sold our 1941 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe. This car’s aesthetic is fabulous and exudes style and grace. Even today, the car handles and rides beautifully, and because of the quality, immediate pre-war era Cadillacs make great choices for car enthusiasts and collectors who enjoy driving.

Our 1946 Ford Super Deluxe Station Wagon Model 69A also sold recently. Ford was the first U.S. automaker to resume production at the end of World War II. Due to shifting engineering and development priorities during the war, 1946 Fords didn’t feature major differences than the 1942 models. As demand increased after the war, Ford set a new record for station wagons in 1946, building 16,920 of them, all in the Super Deluxe line.

Our 1974 Jaguar XKE Roadster Survivor also sold recently. This car, also known as the Jaguar E-Type, combined style and performance to create a mass-produced “supercar.” Malcolm Sayer, an aerodynamic engineer, designed the car. In addition to offering speed, the car also excelled in performance and handling. The car had just over 24,000 miles and was in pristine condition when it was sold.

We also recently sold our 1975 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet produced this specific model, the Chevrolet Corvette C3 for the 1968 through 1982 model years. The C3 is the third generation of the Chevrolet Corvette and set new sales records with 53,807 produced for the 1979 model year. The 1975 model was advertised as “a more efficient Corvette.” A 7.7 zero to 60 time in a 1975 base engine-automatic made it one of the fastest cars available at the time.
