June’s Roundup and Lineup for July!

We had a great kick off to the summer with a variety of vehicles sold! We’re looking forward to July to bring you another great variety and selection available for purchase! Here’s the rundown:  

RECENTLY SOLD:

Previously belonging to its owner in Lakewood, our 1948 Town & Country Sedan was recently sold. Catalina tan on the outside and red highlander plaid on the inside, this truly original sedan was maintained well and kept in beautiful condition! With a frame on restoration and upgrades such as twin spot lights, an electric gas cap and genuine mahogany inserts, this vehicle is sure to turn some heads! There may be a myriad of incredible cars in the collector car world; this one stands out among the rest in all its elegance and originality. This sedan didn’t go far to its new home however; its new owner resides in Hinckley. Although we were able to give this car away to a new owner, you still have a chance to check out this vintage artwork! At the CCCA Grand Classic on July 8 in Salem. Oh, this car will be on display for all to admire!

Recently sold! Our 1974 Cadillac Eldorado has just over 34,000 original miles and is in great working order! This stunning convertible is adorned with a cranberry firemist paint job with a white top and white leather interior! This Cadillac is a luxury car manufactured from 1935-2002; over ten generations! With many competitors, this particular model still shines above the rest. The 1974 model even has a redesigned rear bumper, horizontal tail lights, fine mesh grille and all new instrument panel design. Not only is the outside appearance spotless, the undercarriage has never seen bad weather and is in nearly mint condition. Stocked with all the appropriate options, we have never seen another one of its kind in such incredibly condition. A steal if you ask us at just $27,500!

CURRENT:

Brand new on our website is our 1930 Chrysler Model 77 4-Door Sedan. Only two previous owners have called this their own and now you could be the lucky number three! With a fresh, frame-off restoration it only has 43,000 original miles and is a joy to drive! Sleek, black exterior paint and unique grey broadcloth interior blanket this classic vintage car. It even has gorgeous Firestone white wall tires to complete the look. This model had fierce competition during it’s time, and despite the stock market crash of 1929, Chrysler continued to prosper and revamped their 1930 lineup – including this particular model! New styling, increased horsepower and added features completed the finishing touches on this flawless vehicle. This particular model was considered top of the line at the time, and still is today among other vintage vehicles! It has all original hardware and a surprisingly roomy interior. Find out how truly amazing this Chrysler is by adding it to your collection!

COMING SOON:

We are pleased to announce we recently made a trade-in for our 1954 Buick Skylark! As part of the trade, we scored an awesome 1937 Cadillac Series 75. Coming to us all the way from the San Francisco, Ca area, it was driven year round; yet it’s in beautiful condition! This Cadillac received a new restoration and it is low on miles as well! It boasts a vibrant, bright blue paint job as well as a white top. Thick white wall tires carry this beauty around and chrome finishes really make this vintage gem stand out. It will be available on the website soon and could be yours!

  

Another vehicle we are so excited we are going to be offering is out 1912 Model T Speedster! This particular car has quite an interesting history. Stored in a museum for the past 40 years, we are currently in the process of detailing it and getting it in excellent, working order for whoever the lucky new owner is! We anticipate it’s availability by the end of June!

April Showers Bring May Cars!

SOLD IN APRIL: 

We are excited to announce the cars Vintage Motor Cars sold last month! It’s a great start to kick off the summer with many more unique vehicles to be sold. Sold in April was our 1941 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible Coupe. This burgundy beauty sports maroon leather interior and a one-of-a-kind grille. Its graceful curves and make this particular vehicle truly magnificent. This Cadillac is stocked with a 150-horsepower V8 engine, creating a surprisingly smooth and comfortable ride. Despite its age, it has never seen rust! Our 1941 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible Coupe is decked out with all the bells and whistles making this vintage luxury vehicle, still running in all its timeless beauty today with its new, lucky owner!

Another gorgeous vehicle we said goodbye to in April was our 1954 Buick Skylark Convertible. The combination of the white exterior with the red leather interior creates a stunning contrast. This car was actually built as a celebration of Buick’s 50^th anniversary and is considered a specialty vehicle and definitely provides bragging rights to the new owner! This vehicle is equipped with a V8 engine producing 220-horsepower. The classic white-wall tires are hugged by 40-spoke Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels, creating a look that can’t be ignored. This 1954 Buick Skylark Convertible is the product from a frame-up restoration – engine included. It even has power windows and a power top and radio! The entire car is in mint condition and left our customers surely driving away with a smile!

NEW CARS FOR MAY:

We are eager to introduce our new cars for the month of May! We have an excellent collection available for anyone interested in purchasing their very own vintage vehicle! In fact, this month we will have available a 1912 Ford Model T. These cars are arguably the most interesting Model T style cars; there were 5 different styles. The 1912 Ford Model T marked a transition from the old to the new Model T, because starting with this year’s model, the whole body was no longer an open style, but instead sported three doors – two in the back on both sides and one on the passenger side, and the driver side still remained open. This is truly a special Model T to own!

Also, be sure you don’t miss out on our 1931 Packard Model 833 Sport Phaeton this May! This Packard has been restored and no longer has the frame, as most originals do. It has been converted into a soft top convertible, making this car even more unique than others of its kind. Its beige exterior paired with red striping down the sides and red tires really make this vehicle a show stopper. The gleaming chrome emblem on the hood is the icing on the cake of this one-of-a-kind restored 1931 Packard Model 833 Sport Phaeton.

In 1962 Ford produced only 1,427 Thunderbird Sports Roadsters, and this May you could be the owner of one of the few! Included are Kelsey-Hayes tires and a fiberglass cover over the back, creating a seamless two-seater design. A special feature that is unique to Thunderbirds is the slide-away steering wheel, which allows the driver to move the wheel 18 inches to the side to create easier in and out access to the vehicle. Its V8 engine produces 300 horsepower to the vehicle. Take one look at this vehicle and you’ll see yourself driving away in it in no time!

We will have available this month also a 1975 Pontiac Grand Prix. This car has 13,902 of the original miles! This stunner has a ginger brown exterior paint job with golden pin striping, topped with a sandstone vinyl roof. The grille on this Pontiac and the vertical bars on the tail lights make the stamp on the 1975 Grand Prix. Carefully maintained and kept in a heated garage, this little piece of history has never seen a winter and absolutely everything on it is original besides the battery and tires! Anyone would be lucky to be the proud second owner of this perfectly preserved 1975 Pontiac Grand Prix for just $17,900.

If you’re in the market for a sleek, classy vehicle this summer, we are offering the perfect car for you this May! We have a 1937 Cadillac Convertible. The contrast of the bright blue exterior paint job against the white wall tires and white convertible top catch any eye! Chrome fenders and silver striping down the sides are the finishing touches on, creating the luxurious look and feel we’ve come to expect from the Cadillac. Not only does the outside have a gorgeous appearance, but it’s also decked out with black leather interior to make its proud owner feel like a million bucks cruising around in this 1937 Cadillac Convertible.

COMING IN JUNE: 

Fresh on the site, we have a 1920 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost for sale! It has classic combination of a red exterior with black interior as well as white painted wheels. Producing a total of 7,874 cars for just 19 years, this Rolls-Royce is one of many still on the road today and still widely operating; proving just how well-designed this vehicle is. It’s given the name “Silver Ghost” not due to its color, but due to its quietness. This particular Rolls was also the beginning of the company claiming to create the “best car in the world,” and clearly they weren’t far off, considering Rolls-Royce is still one of the most envied and well known luxury car brands. An astounding 1,500 of these particular vehicles still exist today, and you could be the owner of one of them!

Springing Forward!

It was a busy winter at Vintage Motor Cars, but we’re ready for spring and the nice weather that comes with it! Soon, it will be time to take your vintage car out of storage and show it off or drive around in your convertible with the top down.

We recently sold some really interesting cars, including a replica 1886 Benz Patent Motorwagen. This car has incredible and accurate detail to it. One of our favorite things about this Benz is its beautifully finished woodwork, polished brass, and perfect paintwork. This piece truly is a work of art! The good news is if you're interested in purchasing a Benz like this we have coming soon another one with no miles!

Our 1942 Packard Super Eight 160 Convertible Coupe, Model 2023, is another car sold recently. This car featured a shiny, deep red paint job and an accurate, beautifully finished interior. By 1942, the 160 adopted Clipper styling for its 127-inch wheelbase cars in both the club sedan and touring sedan body styles. In fact, the convertible coupe remained the only traditionally styled Packard for that chassis, and given the end of production brought about by America’s involvement in World War II, remains a very desirable collector car.

We also sold our 1949 Plymouth Special Deluxe Convertible. The car was restored about a decade ago and features gorgeous red leather in the interior. The Special Deluxe came loaded with features, including an AM radio and heater in a time before such things were standard. The car also featured a fully functional power convertible top. The car handled well and was a great deal!

Spring doesn’t bring just great weather, but new cars here at Vintage Motor Cars, too! We have two great new cars coming soon! They are a 1964 Rolls-Royce Phantom V Limo (live now on the site), and a 1966 Jaguar E-Type Roadster! Be sure to check our website for updates!

Ditching the Cold, We headed off to Naples, Florida!

We just got back from hosting the Rolls Royce Silver Ghost Association “Winter Fling” in Naples! We were able to get together with the friends we’ve made from touring, leaving the snow behind, we headed to Naples, Florida.

This 3-day trip was full of activities that every car lover would enjoy. This get together did not include the cars that would usually be found on the tours, but there sure was a lot of talk about them! The weekend schedule was packed with activities such as an Airboat Ride in the Everglades and a tour of REVS Institute For Automotive Research. Cocktail hour or dinner was held every night, which gave us all time to catch up and talk about what we all love, cars!

We didn’t miss the cold when we were exploring Naples or having cocktails at the Naples Yacht Club. We are very proud of this social weekend we hosted for those in the Silver Ghost Association. The weekend had a great mix of sharing more information about all our beloved interest of automobiles and relaxing fun. We appreciate all of those who came out to our weekend in Naples, Florida!
